Description
  • Marine cembranoid diterpene.
  • Anticancer agent.
  • Inhibits in vivo skin carcinogenesis induced by NOR-1 and TPA.
  • Decreases membrane permeability towards Ca2+, increases degradation of PLA and PLC and decreases levels of COX-2, inhibiting the tumor formation in melanoma models.
  • Cell migration inhibitor in selected cancer cell lines.
  • May be a phosphofructokinase inhibitor.
  • Acetylcholine esterase and ATPase inhibitor.
  • Ichthyotoxin.
  • Tumorigenesis and JB6 cell transformation inhibitor.
