The activity depends on the relative cellular surface expression of TRAIL-R1 compared to other death-signaling TRAIL-Rs. Concentrations of KillerTRAIL™-R1 to induce apoptosis may vary depending on the cell type.

Product Description
TRAIL-R1 is a receptor for the cytotoxic ligand TRAIL. The adapter molecule FADD recruits caspase-8 to the activated receptor. The resulting death-inducing signaling complex (DISC) performs caspase-8 proteolytic activation which initiates the subsequent cascade of caspases (aspartate-specific cysteine proteases) mediating apoptosis. Promotes the activation of NF-κB.
Treatment of Jurkat or RAMOS cells with 200ng/ml KillerTRAIL™ (R1 specific) (Prod. No. AG-40T-0003) and KillerTRAIL™ (Prod. No. AG-40T-0001) for 3h at 37°C.
