Product Description
βKlotho (KLB) induces ERK1/2 phosphorylation in response to FGF19 treatment and significantly increases the interactions between FGF19 and FGFR4. It is a cofactor for the interaction of FGF21 with FGF receptor 1c in adipocytes, which allows FGF21 to stimulate GLUT1 expression, upregulating adipocyte insulin-dependent glucose uptake. bKlotho contributes to the transcriptional repression of cholesterol 7-α-hydroxylase (CYP7A1), the rate-limiting enzyme in bile acid synthesis.
